I thought that long days with nothing to do at a new job would be deadly without the internet, instead i've decided its a pretty refreshing change.
I managed to finish a book I started at Christmas time and get a lot more introspective than this stupid blog leads me to believe i'm being.
i'm pretty excited about some big decision i have made this week regarding my near future, and i'm also pretty excited about the baked goods isabel and i prepared tonight.
miraculously her kitchen and our clothes are intact...
my dog is a bit on the crazy side from having been locked in my room all day but i just jogged around the block twice with her and she seems to be calming down.
i on the other hand am pretty stressed out about this stupid pay pal situation i got myself into.
CLEARLY an amateur, i clicked "make payment" to the seller off whom i bought three items. i went to bed that night happy that my paypal would automatically take the funds out of the bank account which i had linked it to. the next day someone informed me i had to transfer the funds from my account to paypal before the payment would go through to the seller. so in a moment of panic, seeing the payment was marked as unclear on pay pal, i did just that.
unfortunately today when i went to go check on the whole thing, BOTH payments had gone through my account (the one that pay pal DOES automatically take from my linked account, AND the one i transferred myself) problem is my dead beat self didnt have enough to make two 60$ payments from my chequings at that time and somehow now ive wound up with NO money in my pay pal, i BAD name on ebay AND two NSF fees adding up to 70$ in my bank account. i dont even know who i could possibly cry to to get this situation fixed.
i've already emailed the seller to explain how much of a retard i am and promise to remedy the situation right away, and tomorow i have to call RBC and pay pal to fix some kind of deal with them.
on another money note, dan apparently no longer has any mail for me contrary to his original response in which he named off the companies who had sent me mail to my old address (which he is now living with). Said mail corresponded perfectly with the T4's i was supposed to be receiving in order to complete my income tax. last night he told me that he never had any mail for me. now i have to go to the government and wait another 6 years before i can file this fucking shit.
ugh. money is stupid. i wish i was in the era of the barter system, im pretty sure i could find some good beaver skins to trade you for the new couches i just bought.
luckily the couches look really good.
COME OVER AND SIT ON THEM WITH ME THEY DONT SMELL LIKE CURRY ANYMORE!!
im officially going on hiatus this weekend and taking refuge at my parents house.
if i dont answer my phone its by choice.

old newz
tomorrow my life becomes good again.
it will be my very last day working in the copy center at Stikeman and i will be using it as an excuse to get legitimately drunk thursday night at our martini night in with the girls.
the prospect of never having to take the elevator up to the 34 again and facing a plethora of degrading comments and ignorant remarks is generally making my life a little better already.
i also couldnt help myself from getting a little bit excited at the sound of melting snow today at lunch time. i've already begun putting together a fresh summer wardrobe so that when the warm weather hits i'll be ready!
now i know this is probably old news to most of you, but i only just discovered the show the L word via Olivia's advice to stef about surfthechannel.com and i immediately got addicted.
I'm already almost done season 1 and am so happy that there are still 4 more to go.
I don't wanna say its leading me to question myself, but man Shane is hot. (also the most guyish in my defense!)
SEE YOU ALL AT MARTINI NIGHT DRESSED CUTE AND FEELIN DRUNKKKKK!

projects
I have come to the conclusion that my mild depressive state over the last few months stems from a lack of stimulation.
I feel like I'm in a serious rut and since I can't go back to school before I get accepted, I need to think of some things to do to occupy my time other than write on this thing.
here is a list of things i would like to do between now and the fall, please feel free to join in on any of them:
- sand and varnish my dressers
- build a dog house with a plush interior and classic doghouse exterior for lola
- learn to sew
- tap into some hidden creative talent i posess and hone it.
- spend a lot less money on going out drinking so i have more money to go on fun roadtrips\daytrips.
- maybe try to learn how to play an instrument..... maybe.

p.s. this is the scariest picture i've ever accidentally happenned upon:

i heart daylight savings!
Daylight savings time = bright and sunny walk home from work at 6h45 pm.
I gave my two weeks notice at work today, my boss was a fatfart about it, but the important thing is, as of two weeks from now i never have to see his stinky swollen face again.
Today my doggy turned one year old! I went all out and bought some party hats and a candle, then i realised i had nothing to put the candle in except dog food, and she hated her party hat, so i gave her some treats and she loved me again.
This was the result:

As for the rest of the weekend, i mainly spent it rolling around with my favourite people. Me and isabel did a bathroom photoshoot at club lambi and after a half hour quest for a cab anywhere on the island. Getting home was even worse since we were not waiting indoors.
We did burn at least half the beer calories off just dancing!

now i have lit my new leopard print candle holder and have a curled up snoring pooch at my feet and sex and the city is making me love my life, or at least the life i'm trying to live through the screen.
yay day light savings time means its almost spring. hoodies and stinky spring smell soon to come!!!!!

oh yes oh yes
I just went to sign the papers for my brand new job.
In just a few weeks I'll be greeting customers and answering phones for the pool/gym/spa portion of the new hotel on de la montagne. My desk is next to the salt water pool and surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows on the twelfth floor of the hotel and i get my own computer and cordless phone!! WOWIE ZOWIE!
i also am getting paid a hell of a lot more than at my current shit-caca-in-my-pants job, where the only thing i have to look forward to is seeing my roomate Stef and venting on break about how much we hate our jobs.
This can only be a good change.
in the mean time, i have been craving spontaneous outtings like my out-of-the-blue visit to Lac aux Castors last night with my man, so if anyone has last minute plan suggestions, CALL MOI STI!

big old vent
i spent a nice little chunk of time with two of my favourite girlies this weekend and it made me realise how much i appreciate a quiet night in with one or two close friends.
I need a bit of a break from big group hangouts that get really loud and rowdy. I love each and every single person who i see at parties, but the whole 20 person drinking minimum is making me tired.
So who wants to do sleepovers and nights out a deux???
Upon Isabel's advice I have taken a vow to give shit to rude morning commuters. I realise this might make me a rude commuter myself, but it's kind of like a Robin Hood syndrome where I steal from the rich, only this time I'm screaming at the stupid..... i'm sure it'll be satisfying for myself if nothing else!!
I'm stuck at work till 6 pm because they are bastards and the last employee on the seniority list is REQUIRED to work overtime every week. I'm not sure yet if its legal, but I guess for now i'm not gonna complain and just take the extra cash.
I found a new job at a hotel they built on de la Montagne and Rene Levesque working at the pool/spa thing coordinating schedules and being in charge of ordering supplies for them. It pays better than my current job and its on the twelvth floor of a ritsy hotel. My entire floor is a pool, spa fitness center and sauna surrounded by windows.
I'm pretty excited, and the fact that i'm changing jobs in two weeks makes me not feel nervous about writing this blog when i should be doing one of the 25 jobs that are due tomorrow morning at nine.
Yay for not caring about my stupid useless job!
I will miss Stef terribly when I change jobs, I've now gotten used to the idea of seeing her every single morning before work, all day at work and every single night after work, with weekends in there too!
But i'm sure we'll adjust nicely to the change seeing as her bedroom is across the hall from mine!
